Do You Hear What I hear?

五年前當我是位才子的時候，我曾經在PC Home的新聞台介紹了這首聖誕歌曲。
今年在美國過聖誕，我常聽到這首歌，讓我想起這篇文章。
這是我非常喜歡的一首聖誕歌曲，不過在台灣不常聽到；大家可以試著去網路上找找看這首歌曲，很震撼。

今年（2003）我要介紹的這一首聖誕歌曲是「Do You Hear What I Hear？」Vanessa Williams在例年由多明哥主持的Christmas in Vienna音樂會（2000）中演唱這首特別的聖誕歌曲，我不懂樂理什麼快版慢版、和弦之類的，但這首曲子中傳達的驚奇、恩典、歡愉是很有感染力的。

歌詞的鋪陳極富層次，夜風對羔羊，羔羊對牧羊男孩，男孩對君王；「卑→尊」的呼告因為其堅定無比的信心更強化了大無畏懼的榮耀與喜樂；每一節漸進豐富了其音樂性，是愈益昇華的表現，此時的觸動自是不言而喻了。

Vanessa渾厚卻又不老成的唱腔恰好拿捏到聖誕歌曲中歡愉卻不失莊嚴的特色。「Do You Hear What I Hear？」當你我面對人生中的真理，會如此雀躍，如此大無畏嗎？
